Properly designed Fire Alarm Systems are designed to protect people and property.
This is a number of devices working together to detect and warn people though a visual or sound sense; when a detection of smoke, fire, carbon or monoxide are present, it will trigger and alarm. These systems include: Alarm Control Panel, Notification Appliance, Building Safety Inference, LED strobe lights, Pool Station, Smoke Beams/Detectors, Heat Detectors, Fire Sprinklers and more to protect your environment in the safest way.
Back when technology was not an option, someone in the community would run around with ringing bells alerting everyone of a fire. The 1800’s had a semi-upgrade by introducing bell towers and they would ring them. It was much louder and a quick way to let people know. Dr. William F. Channing progressed this fire system, in 1852, by using a telegraph. He had two alarm boxes with a telegraph key used to report neighborhood fires, this was in Boston. It was placed on street corners for those to be able to communicate with a “fast signaling” to the nearest station. Upgrading, Francis Robbins Upton, designed and constructed, a system that would detect and turn on water sprinklers when heat levels got to high. This was called the Electric Alarm System. Up to date, more efficient technology has been introduced supplying fire alarms to be much simpler.
